Lantern Docks of Comet Harbor
Nori
“A bowl-sized foxlike dock picker in a patched yellow vest, with a little magnet pole, bright round goggles, and a tail tipped with frost glitter.”
Nori is a tiny salvage-picker who stands about as tall as a soup bowl and makes a living gathering lost bits from the Lantern Docks before they drift away. He is cheerful and a little nosy, with a habit of turning every stray thing into a story of where it came from and who might have missed it.

The Pump and the Nest
A family of tiny lantern-puff fish nests in the warm water beneath the piers, but the harbor’s evening pump system is scheduled to start and will sweep their nest away. The dockworkers must decide how to protect the fish without shutting down the water flow that keeps the harbor from icing over.

Crane Stuck Over the Harbor
A cargo crane at Comet Harbor jams with its arm stretched over two docks, blocking both the path of arriving boats and the route for an urgent delivery. Everyone nearby has to work together to lower the crane safely before the harbor becomes stuck in a traffic knot.
