Puffcap Tramline
Puffcap Tramline is a narrow sky path of rattling tram cars that slides between pale cloud islets and crooked roof platforms. The cars are painted in faded mint and berry stripes, with brass rails warm from sun and cool in the shade. Below, the cloud banks open and close like slow, sleepy waves, while above, kites, gulls, and long streamers drift through the blue. The air smells of rainwater, metal dust, and sweet buns from the little snack carts that roll at the stations. The tramline bends past washing terraces, windbreak hedges in barrel pots, and tiny waiting rooms with fogged glass. Every stop has its own sound: a bell, a whistle, a clink of cups, a shuffle of boots, a soft flap of tarps. Ropes sway, door latches chatter, and sudden gusts can tilt hats or make the cars sing. Children, gardeners, porters, and sleepy travelers leave chalk arrows, dropped feathers, and half-tied ribbons behind, so the whole place feels busy, breezy, and always almost on the move.

Mina
Mina is a small, quick-witted child who stands about as tall as a teapot. She lives for motion and notice, always leaning toward whatever feels lively, clever, or a little daring.

Pippa
Pippa is a tiny snack-cart seller who fits easily in a child’s palm if she crouches down, though she prefers to stand on a crate and talk like a grand announcer. She loves making people smile, but she also hates being ignored, so she can be louder than the moment asks for.

Tobin
Tobin is a broad-shouldered porter who stands as tall as a doorway and knows every sway and rattle of the tramline. He is patient in public, but privately loves being admired for his steady strength and careful timing.

The Tram That Wouldn't Slow
A Puffcap Tramline car suddenly loses its braking moss on the steepest stretch above the clouds, so the ride starts creeping faster and faster toward a long curve where everyone must work together before the tram slips out of control. The problem is not getting lost, but slowing a moving home in time.

Mina and the Wandering Bun
On a breezy tram ride above the clouds, Mina spots a loose bun rolling toward the door just as the car shivers on the bend. She has to decide fast whether to grab it, call for help, or hold the latch shut before the little mix-up turns into a bigger one.
